We had a lovely dinner here, Sunday night. We ordered the Dal Bhaat and Momo and it was very delicious! The service was great and the owner came out from the kitchen to speak with us and personalise the spiciness of each of our dishes. Very authentic, tasted exactly like the food we had in Nepal! Overall great food and experience.
A very warm welcome to an immaculate restaurant. The service was exceptional. I had the lamb xacuti, which was the best lamb I've ever eaten. The sauce has flavour that can't be described, each spice and herb playing their part. As a very well travelled person, this has topped culinary experiences from around the globe. I can't wait to visit again!
Absolutely charming place. We had a lovely time and a date in this restaurant. The staff are very nice, the food was delicious. Best curry I have ever had :) I recommend Chicken SHERPA KUKHURA, it was very creamy, spicy enough but not too spicy, and the chicken was very juicy. I recommend having it with rice.
I can't recommend The Gurkha enough, there's few restaurants I prefer to eat. This place is perfect. There is nothing I can fault with the food or the service. It tastes incredible, honestly nothing better in Chelmsford that I have found! Service and the people goes above and beyond. The guy that delivers is lovely and the whole restaurant service are so nice! We're regular customers and recently changed our ordering habits to go through the website to help their profits (rather than just eat), the restaurant thanked us with a delightful starter on the house. Just above and beyond, exceptional!

I love this restaurant. Business has taken me to Chelmsford twice so far and on the first occasion, this restaurant was recommended to me and I am so grateful! The restaurant is very well decorated and it has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are happy and very attentive. You will be well looked after! The food! The food is just fantastic! On my second visit, I ordered Choila and Nepalese Lamb Shank (plus rice and poppadoms). The dishes were simply excellent and I am looking forward to my next business trip to Chelmsford!
